Swimming and leisure pool Brigitte Becue
The new Brigitte Becue swimming pool is a paradise for water lovers. Sports swimmers can enjoy the 50-metre Olympic pool.
The brand new swimming pool in Ostend opened on May 1st 2021 the doors in the presence of ex-top swimmer Brigitte Becue, after whom the pool was named.
The swimming pool is within walking distance of Villa Emma. (800 meters)

Large beach Mariakerke
If you are not fond of the crowds, but are looking for space and tranquility, then Mariakerke-Ostend is the place to be.
There is a wide beach, so quiet! Children can romp carefree, you can keep an eye on them.

Walraversijde
Dive into the Middle Ages and discover the lost fishing village of Walraversijde. In the reconstructed fishermen's houses you get to know the daily life of the residents in a playful way. Medieval games, food, herbs and archaeological excavations are discussed.
Or walk through two world wars. The Atlanticwall in Raversyde is one of the best preserved remnants of the German defense line.

Wellington Racecourse
During the summer months gallops are organized. The racecourse was built in 1883 and has been visited by many international guests throughout its long history. Every Monday in July and August there is 'Oostende Koerse' and you can experience the horse races live!
It is a special experience, a nice atmosphere and with a snack and a drink you can make it a relaxing trip.

Centre of Ostend
The main attractions are of course the beach and the sea. But if you go to Ostend there is more to see and do.
Some of the main attractions and sights of Ostend include "De Visserskaai", De Mercator, the Sint-Petrus-en-Pauluskerk, shopping in the numerous shopping streets, walking in the Royal Galleries, theater performances and concerts in the Kursaal or a boat trip at sea.

Our holiday home is a renovated terraced house from 1935. The character of the house with wooden floors, high ceilings and authentic glass window doors have been preserved. In this way we keep the soul of the house intact. Both bathrooms and the large kitchen have been completely renovated to provide you with all the necessary comfort.
Our family lives a hundred meters away. The house had just been for sale for an hour when we cycled past it. We immediately visited it and were immediately overwhelmed by the individuality of the house. Entering there gives you a warm feeling of home.
We live close by and therefore know the area very well good. It's a quiet, safe environment where everyone know each other. Everything is within walking distance: the sea and the beach with nice brasseries and restaurants on the dike. Home of basket BCO Oostende and football KVO Ostend is a 7-minute walk away. The Gulf of Ostend, the Wellington Racecourse, the cinema complex and the You will find a 50-meter swimming pool at a maximum of 3 km. Public transport: 2 min. from the bus stop, 4 min. from the tram stop. Airport is 2 km away, the train station 5 km away. You will find supermarkets around the corner, as well as the retailers and eateries.
